Delete your Cache account
This page explains how to delete your Cache account and the data linked to it. Cache is developed by Tantely Randriamazaoro. You can delete your account yourself at any time, from the app or from the web, without reinstalling anything.
Delete your account in Cache
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Export your data first if you want to keep a copy.
- Open Cache on Android, iOS, desktop, or at app.cache.mg, and sign in.
- Go to Settings, then Subscriptions.
- In the Danger Zone, tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You are signed out and your account is deleted.
Can't access the app?
Email privacy@cache.mg from the address linked to your Cache account with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We complete verified requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your account: email address, sign-in details, and linked Apple or Google sign-in.
- Your encrypted financial data: accounts, transactions, budgets, debts, funds, taxes, inventory, profiles, and attachments.
- Your settings, sessions, notification subscriptions, assistant usage records, and subscription status stored by Cache.
What is kept, and for how long
- Encrypted database backups may contain your data for up to 30 days before they expire.
- If you joined the waitlist, your waitlist entry (email and answers) is kept so you can come back. Ask us to remove it at privacy@cache.mg.
- Feedback and roadmap suggestions you posted stay visible but are no longer linked to you.
- Payment records held by Paddle, Apple, Google, and RevenueCat are kept by those providers as required by tax and accounting law. Deleting your account does not cancel an app store subscription: cancel it in Google Play or the App Store.
Delete your data but keep your account
In Settings, then Subscriptions, Wipe all data clears every financial record in your account while keeping your login.
